Scholarship for African Americans

New England Service Scholarships, offered by the Red Sox Foundation. This program recognizes high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and academic excellence. 

Selected students from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to support their education.

Applications are now open. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 10th.

In addition to the scholarship, recipients will participate in a service project at Fenway Park before being honored on the field prior to the Tuesday, June 30th game against the Washington Nationals at 7:10pm.

Art Scholarship

for  Freshman, Sophomore and Juniors

 

 Patricia W. Edwards Memorial Scholarship Fund.

These scholarships are for the further education of young Rhode Island artists. This scholarship is available for Rhode Island high school who wish to attend one art class at a Rhode Island institution (Rhode Island School of Design, AS220, etc.) The applicant must demonstrate artistic ability and interest in painting and/or drawing. An art show at the RI Foundation will feature the work of the winners. Artists, family members, and their art teachers will be invited.

 

The deadline to apply is Monday, May 4, 2026. Please click here to apply. Students will create a login, fill out the eligibility quiz for the Patricia W. Edwards Memorial Art Scholarship, and if eligible, will fill out the application.

We are officially launching the Bradford Scholarship for 2026! This scholarship, in conjunction with the city, provides college-bound seniors and PPSD graduates in college with $1,100.00 of assistance. Please encourage your college-bound seniors to apply using this link. The application will be open from February 12th-April 9th.

Apply for the RI Teen Institute – April 2026

Central students are invited to apply for the Rhode Island Teen Institute, a powerful five-day overnight leadership program for high school youth happening April 20–24, 2026 at Camp JORI in Wakefield, RI.

Students will participate in workshops focused on team building, leadership, action planning, and personal growth, while connecting with teens from across the state.

YEP 2.0 is the continuation of our  entrepreneurship incubator, running this fall at Brown University.

• When & Where: Wednesdays, 5–7 PM, starting with Welcome Day on February 4th, 2026, at the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship (1 Euclid Ave, Providence, RI 02906) at Brown University.

• What they’ll get: Grant opportunities, advanced instruction, high-quality guest speakers, one-on-one mentorship with real entrepreneurs, and dinner every week!

• Culmination: Pitch their venture at Sales Night. (we encourage friends, family, and faculty to come support their students).
